Unhealthy API Readings Detected in Four Areas as of 9 AM Today.

As of 9 AM today, Unhealthy API Readings Registered in Four Peninsula Areas

KUALA LUMPUR, October 18 ― At 9 AM today, four areas in the peninsula reported unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) readings, with Klang recording the highest at 155.

According to the Department of Environment Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS) website, other areas with API levels exceeding 100 include Seri Manjung, Perak (123), Tangkak, Johor (119), and Petaling Jaya, Selangor (107).

In total, 54 areas noted moderate API levels, while 10 other areas displayed good air quality.

The API reading system categorizes air quality as follows: 0 to 50 (good), 51 to 100 (moderate), 101 to 200 (unhealthy), 201 to 300 (very unhealthy), and above 300 (hazardous).

The API data is updated every hour, based on readings from 68 air quality monitoring stations nationwide. ― Bernama
